SSCP multi-agency briefings

SSCP briefings are bite sized online sessions, delivered by a variety of organisations across Salford, providing information on topics and services relevant to safeguarding children.  Sessions often introduce the audience to new areas of learning and practice and offer an opportunity to ask questions about services and interventions.

Domestic Abuse - Engaging with Perpetrators.  Internal Assessment Tools

The training will provide an overview of the main core tools used to support risk assessments with domestic abuse perpetrators. We will be looking at perpetrator DASH, inventory of controlling behaviours and a de-escalation plan.

Introduction to Salford Safeguarding Children Partnership/Meet the Chair

This briefing will provide an overview of the SSCP strategic priorities and give attendees the opportunity to meet the independent chair. The session will be used to revisit the SSCP escalation pathway to support practitioners in understanding what to do if they are concerned about decision making in relation to safeguarding children.

Threats to Life

  • Raise awareness of Threat to Life notices
  • Understand police responses to Threat to Life
  • Understand children services response to Threat to Life
  • Multi-agency working and implications for partner agencies
